Snoqualmie Falls Men’s Club

February 21, 2008

Dear Snoqualmie Falls Men’s Club Members:

First, I would like to congratulate my opponent on a hard fought, well run campaign.  Although the tally was close I am pleased to have won and I promise do my best to represent all members regardless of party affiliation.  I promise to be a uniter, not a divider.  There’s a saying in Texas, I think it’s Texas.  “You can fool somebody once ,,, you ,,,,ah,,,,  twice? ……… YOU CAN’T GET FOOLED AGAIN.  Anyway it’s something like that.  God Bless you and God Bless America.  Now down to the real business.

Before I go any further I would like to thank Steve Kropelnicki for his years of service.  I know Steve cares about our club and I think he did a good job in representing us.  Steve, I hope you have a stress free season and continued good health.  As far as our other officers Tom Reid remains as Handicap Chairman, Josh Graves as Tournament Chairman and Tony Berger as Secretary/Treasurer.  We had our first meeting last Sunday and we are excited about some new ideas.  The Knuth System will remain but it has been altered and is now tied to dollar amount won.  A complete description will be available soon.  There is also going to be a new match play tournament called The President’s Cup.  We used to have this format years ago and we think it’s worth trying again.  The success of this or any other event depends on the participation and co-operation of the membership.  Further info on this fun event will follow.

The course has come through the winter in great shape.  I know I played almost every weekend and I think Lee and the crew have done a great job.  You should all reserve your tee times now.  Dave and Jeff have placed the orders and new equipment and apparel is on the way.  So make your appointments for lessons and fittings and shake the rust off to get ready for a great golfing season.

Sincerely,

Mike Hovey
