Dear Club Members ,

On Friday, September 17th, we are hosting and event that you will not want to miss. We would love to show the world, once again, that we have the best group of members at our club. This event supports a group called the Snoqualmie Valley Preservation Alliance. The group is made up of Lower Valley Businesses and residents that are fighting to save the golf courses, farms, and home owners in the Lower Snoqualmie Valley. They are working hard to prevent the eventual destruction of the Lower Valley from flooding caused by poor management of the Snoqualmie River. Unfortunately, the costs facing the group are quite high and there is no financial nugget at the end. The goal right now is just self-preservation for all of us.

As most of you know, we experienced the worst flood in our history in 2009. This flood almost wiped us, Twin Rivers, and Carnation off of the map financially. Also, this flood came only 2 years and 2 months after the prior worst flood in our history. I think it is safe to say that we would have never made it through those events without the amazing amount of help many of you provided in the clean-up efforts. This group is trying to do anything it can to stop the projects like the one completed in 2005 from continuing to be done at the expense of the Lower Snoqualmie Valley. Their success could mean not only our survival, but also less raking and shoveling for all of you kindhearted members.

The event is a 4-person scramble with a shotgun start at 2:00 PM. It is going to be an absolutely can't miss event. There are going to be prizes for KPs, Long Drives, Putting Contest winners, and for low scoring teams. Entry is only $360 for a 4 person team or $90 for singles (I will make teams up from a singles list).  Each entrant will get 18 holes with shared power cart, a steak dinner with musical entertainment after the round, one raffle ticket, and a chance at many prizes. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 each. Entry forms can be picked up at the golf courses downloaded by clicking here. Please enter soon so we can have the largest support come from our club.

The raffle is open to anyone, so please buy your tickets even if you are unable to play in the tournament. They are $5 per ticket and the prizes are fantastic. The current top prize is a set of Cleveland CG7 Black Pearl Irons with graphite shafts (Retial Price $1080). Also, we are giving away an anytime10 round pass for golf as well as an anytime round for a 4-some with carts. Twin Rivers is giving away a 10 token range pass and an anytime round for 4 with carts. Carnation is donating an anytime round for 4 with carts. Wilson donated a 8881 staff putter (Retail Price $129.99). Jubilee Farms donated pumpkins and a 3 week membership to their Co-Op farm. On top of this, more prizes are yet to come from other golf courses and companies.

Thanks so much for your past and continued support,

John, Jeff, Dave, Lee, and the rest of the staff at Snoqualmie Falls GC
